COMPLEX CASES

            CORRECTING POSITION  AND ROTATION

An eighty year old patient presents with severe tooth rotation and shifting combined with caries and faulty restorations.  An ideal arch form is diagnosed.  Where teeth extend in front of an ideal arch position, tooth structure is reduced while areas of tooth structure behind the projected arch position have composite is added.

Faulty restorations and caries are removed.  Teeth are prepared and composite added.  Composite class 3, class 4 and veneer techniques are used.  Areas of no tooth backing where darkness from the back of the mouth will influence composite color, opaque composite is placed to the lingual side.

A low lip line eliminates concerns of poor gingival contours.  Constant measuring and comparison of tooth to tooth dimension is measured to achieve symmetrical results.  Composite surfaces are contoured, textured and polished.
